TES: Ditching Microsoft can save millions

Today's Times Educational Supplement (TES) has this article based on an advance copy of Becta's TCO study. "The findings .... raise the prospect of millions of pounds of savings for British schools and colleges which spend around £1 billion a year on ICT." So it's official: millions of pounds (actually hundreds of millions - do the sums!) are potentially available to provide more equipment, books and teachers. Well done Schoolforge-UK, and everyone who has worked to show this is possible. Now it's up to us to make it happen.
