IRIS's development is primarily aimed at Behaviour Management, however it's roots are in place to take on any MIS function and its future path resolves to becoming a complete Free source MIS for schools.

Development team note: Even though we are not currently releasing source under a GPL or like license due to legality's in IRIS's ownership it is agreed upon generally that it will be very soon. IRIS uses a fair degree of FLOSS projects from LAMP to R&OS PDF Library and write_excel and uses the SHANE Application Manager which is about to be released freely under a GPL or like license. We do not charge for the software, we only charge for the support and hosting, and will NEVER charge for the software in the future.
