Project Goals
The FreeMIS project aims to produce a high quality, comprehensive Management Information System for schools. The system will provide tools to support:
* Assessment * Asset Management * Attendance * Home School Communications * Communication Between Staff * Finance * HR/Personnel * Pupil Data * Report Writing * Self Evaluation/Review * SEN Management * Planning for Learning & Teaching * Timetable Construction
The developers of FreeMIS believe that making it an Open Source application is the best way to produce an MIS for schools that really delivers. This incidentally means that FreeMIS is free, and that anyone using FreeMIS is free to amend the package in any way they see fit to suit their own purposes.

You can download the latest release of FreeMIS here. Installing FreeMIS does require some knowledge of web server technology. If you want to see FreeMIS in action, try this demo site, with username user42 and password teacher. The data is reset every hour, so feel free to play around!
