Introduction

xxxxx School believes that creative people have the right to control the way that their output is reproduced. Copyright is the key to this , however, copyright is a complex issue. There are many situations in which the recipient has explicit limitations over the way they can cope and distribute material they have received. This becomes even more complex when the data is digital and can thus be copied without degradation.

Policies

• At all times the legal limitations placed on copying material will be resepcted. If in doubt check with an expert.
• When a decision is to be made about the purchase of materials, preference will be given to that published with the least restriction.
• Where practical output from the school will be released under the relevant Creative Commons licence, allowing reuse.
